Frequently Asked Questions
How do I look up my contract?
Contracts can be located here
How do I transfer my contract?
Visit our Contract Portal and download of copy of your contract to know if contract is transferable.
If transferable, download transfer form and follow instructions.
How can I receive a quote for coverage?
Rider’s Advantage does not sell directly to consumers. Please return to your selling dealer for details.
What repair facility can I take my vehicle to?
We recommend that you return to your selling dealer.
You can use any licensed repair facility with proper business insurance.
How do I start a claim?
Take your vehicle to a licensed repair facility of your choice. If necessary, have your vehicle towed, do not drive it.
Instruct the repair facility to contact us and we’ll authorize and pay for the covered repair directly. You only pay your deductible and any costs not directly covered by your plan.
How do I start a GAP claim?
Download the checklist of required documentation to start your GAP claim.
How do I find the current status of my claim?
Please contact your repair facility.
What do I need to obtain a vehicle rental?
Please review the terms and conditions of your contract; not all plans cover rental car reimbursement. Please have the repair facility indicate your interest for rental consideration when the claim is initiated.
How do I submit a claim when the repair has already been completed?
Prior authorization is required for all repairs. In the event of an emergency repair outside of business hours, please submit a letter explaining your circumstances and why the repair facility did not obtain prior approval.
Please send a copy of your repair invoice. The repairs must be explained in detail with parts and labor charge breakdowns. Please provide proof of payment in full. Email all documents to claims@capadminpros.com
Why was my claim denied?
There are a number of reasons why a claim or an item on a repair order may not be covered.
The most common reasons are:
- Your contract has expired
- The repair or item is excluded from coverage
- The repair or item is not a covered component under the terms and conditions of your contract
- You may not have followed the maintenance requirements as laid out in your contract
How will my claim get paid?
Most claims are paid directly to the repair facility. Please confirm with your repair facility that they will accept payment from Rider’s Advantage Administrator prior to having repairs performed. Should the repair facility require you to pay them for repairs and submit the claim, the check payment process can take up to 30 days from receipt of all final and acceptable documents.
How do I file a theft claim?
In the event your covered vehicle is stolen and not recovered within 30 days or declared a total loss, please contact the Administrator at 888-785-9736 to start the claim process.
Are there maintenance requirements I should be aware of?
Yes. You should familiarize yourself with the specific maintenance requirements of the vehicle you purchased.
Many contracts have a maintenance acknowledgement section in the contract. Please review your contract to make sure you understand the specific requirements.
